Before anyone asks, no I'm not dead, I wasn't abducted by aliens, and I never left the country. February has kicked my ass up and down the street. See, I work for my home town's green space management department during the winter, and up until the last week or so, it's been nothing but snow, snow, snow, ice and more snow. Aside from that, there's also been a few mishaps and close calls that I'd really rather not get into (Unless you're a close friend, in which case, you probably already know.). There has been a little good news lately. I recently decided to go back and try my hand at being a mechanic again. I've already signed up for a course at the local college, so now, it's just a matter of getting my affairs in order. Don't panic, I'll still be around, just not as often. Anyway, I hope you all stick around and keep reading!
Maimed by May, Jumped by June
Ok, so, I know I haven't submitted in a while, but I have a completely reasonable explanation; Life kicked me down a flight of stairs, out the door and into the street, then proceeded to kick my ass, metaphorically speaking. Let me explain. -The family car: Yep, we're starting here. The family car we rely on suffered from some mechanical issues that were caused by a faulty knock sensor, which was finally replaced after 3 separate visits. On top of that, the rear tailgate was suffering from rust issues. Thankfully, the rust and bubbled paint was covered by warranty, and since the usual methods didn't work, the tailgate was ultimately replaced. -Technicial issues: So, my computer's been getting weird, and I think it's quite frankly time to retire it. I had it looked at by a friend after a brief period where it wasn't working right, and he said "retire it." I'm still in-between getting a pure work machine and a gaming rig, and I'm more or less waiting on sales to get one cheap....well
Again? This has gotta stop
Wow, good god, sorry for not posting a journal update in almost a year. So, what's been happening? A lot. I'm in between jobs again, and just.... a lot's happening. I would've posted my last story sooner, but......I can't really give a valid excuse. For the most part, time just got away from me. If I wasn't taking family members to doctor's appointments, putting up Christmas decorations, taking them down, or shovelling snow, I was just......busy running errands. So, to those of you still reading :Sorry it took so long to post the latest story. I will try to get the next few stories out a little faster. And I won't take a year to post another journal entry (hopefully).
Yeesh, where'd the time go?
Sorry for not posting for a last couple months. I could insert some really clever excuse here to explain my absence, but the truth is, life happened. Life, Christmas, the holidays, and a lot of BS that.... quite frankly, I couldn't avoid. Hopefully, the next arc won't take as long to produce, though with that said, I will eventually have to get a new computer, as my current one will not run Windows 11. So yeah......there's that. What's the old saying? "When it rains, it pours?" Well, if that's the case, can someone hand me an umbrella.... and maybe some scuba gear? I'd settle for a life preserver or a small boat.
Back to...oh boy...
Sorry for not updating my journal in a while, haven't really had much to say in the last year. But a lot's happened. I mean, a lot. We've had the Black Lives Matter protests, Trump (thankfully) lost his bid for a second term, and people stormed Capitol Hill. Quite frankly, I'm done with the whole thing. It's clear common sense is lacking these days, and because of it, Covid is still running rampant. And for whatever god damn reason, people still insist that Trump won and the election was stolen. Let's not forget, cancel culture is still a thing. I'm so done with it all. I'm tired of listening to snowflakes cry about every little thing they think is offensive. I'm tired of QAnon and alt-right nutcases going on about how the election was stolen. HE LOST, DEAL WITH IT! And while I'm at it, WEAR A MASK, STAY SIX FEET APART, AND WASH YOUR DAMN HANDS!! It's because of people not obeying the public health mandates we're still stuck in this pandemic! It's seriously not that hard! I just hope
